Create ball for american football part 1

In this tutorial we will model a rugby ball. For the good reference you can get a few pictures on the web like I did, it will be easier.

In this tutorial we will model a rugby ball. For the good reference you can get a few pictures on the web like I did, it will be easier.
So first reset your 3ds max.

Next maximize front viewport.







Create a sphere, rotate it and rescale it ti get the perfect match like a real rugby ball.







Then apply edit poly modifier and after that apply turbosmooth modifier like shown below.
Turn off button “show end result�, if you want not to see turbosmooth effect.
