3. Lighting
Now, it is time to add some light in our scene. Hide antenna (Right click>Hide selected).
First, go to Customize>Units and set Display Unit Scale to Millimeters.
Then, create one cylinder with parameters displayed on picture.
Assign it Bend modifier, and set parameters displayed on picture.
Put two VRay lights in scene (Create>Lights>VRay>VRay Light), and set parameters displayed on picture (first picture is for left light, second is for right light). Set pure white to color of cylinder.
We can how unhide our antenna (Right click>Unhide all). Move and rotate it to get better position in scene.
Lighting is finished.
4. Rendering
Go to Rendering>Render. Choose VRay as default renderer.
Go to Renderer tab and set the parameters as the following:
- Global switches - turn off default lights
- Image sampler set to adaptive QMC
- Antialising filter set to "mitchell-netravali"
- Indirect illumination swt to ON
- Secondary bounces multiplier to 0.8
- Irradiance map settings:
- "Low" preset
- Hsph subdivs = 20
- environment:
- Skylight pure white color, 1.0 multiplier
- Reflection/refraction pure black, 1.0 multiplier
- system:
- Render region division 50x50 px
Hit Render and see the result.
In this tutorial you learned how to make antenna. You can further experiment with materials for it, to get better results.
